Generally, ecotourism focuses on socially responsible travel, environmental sustainability and personal growth.

We strive to foster this as well as a greater appreciation of our natural habitats. We hope you would take pleasure in it.

What we have to offer:

  • Lodging and camping
  • Game drives
  • Bird Watching
  • Hiking trails
  • Horse Riding
  • Nature/Wildlife photography
  • Bush dinners & picnics
  • Sundowners at lookout points
  • Health, Hair & Skincare treatments (POR)
  • Flight safaris (POR)

The birding enthusiast will have a delightful time here at Neuhof. The very rare Kori bustard (Ardeotis kori) may be encountered while the stately Secretary Bird (Sagittarius serpentarius) regularly patrols the open terrains for its prey.

Conservation Projects

Currently we have a Vulture conservation project running on Neuhof.  In 2007 The White-backed Vulture (Gyps africanus) conservation status was reassessed from Least Concern to Near Threatened and by 2012 it was further up listed to Endangered.

There are several nests on Neuhof where new chicks are then tagged each year between August and September. Each chick receives a wing tag with a specific number as well as a claw ring to monitor their movements. After four months in their nest the new chicks start their journey for 4 – 5 years before they start mating for the first time.

Without disruption, pairs normally stay together for life and nest in the same areas each year.
